Proven Expertise in Custom Thermal Insulation Jackets:

Cordtape Energy is a long-established UK provider of thermal insulation jackets. With more than 40 years of experience, our Nottingham-based team manages the full process, from survey through to manufacture and fitting.

We use high-grade insulation materials and durable outer covers. As a result, our jackets deliver reliable performance and long service life in demanding environments.

Client Focussed Projects:

Every project starts with a detailed on-site survey. This allows us to fully understand your requirements from the outset.

Our engineers take precise measurements and create CAD models to capture complex shapes and clearances. As a result, each jacket fits accurately, minimises air gaps, and reduces heat loss.

Tailored Thermal Insulation Jackets for Any Application:

We design and manufacture jackets for a wide range of components, including valves, flanges, pumps, pipework, ducting, tanks, boilers, and fans.

Each jacket follows the exact contours of the equipment. This ensures full surface contact and improves overall thermal performance.

Made to Measure Thermal Insulation Jackets:

We cut and sew every jacket to order. Where required, our team visits site to measure and fit each unit.

Once measurements are complete, we provide detailed drawings and clear quotations. This hands-on approach ensures consistent quality and a precise fit for every installation.

Versatile Materials & Extreme Conditions

.We engineer our thermal insulation jackets for harsh industrial environments. Therefore, we select materials based on the exact operating conditions

High Temperature & Chemical Resistance

We commonly use PTFE-coated fabrics in environments exposed to both heat and corrosive chemicals. These materials resist acids, alkalis, oils, and abrasion.

They typically operate between –70 °C and +300 °C. In addition, specialist grades can withstand sustained temperatures up to around 360 °C.

Alternative Materials

For slightly lower temperature ranges, we use silicone-coated fibreglass. This material performs reliably up to approximately 260 °C and also provides strong chemical resistance.

Cold Conditions & Frost Protection

In colder environments, we integrate heat-tracing systems into the jacket design. As a result, equipment maintains stable temperatures and fluids continue to flow, even in freezing conditions.

Key Benefits of Removable Thermal Insulation Jackets:

Energy Efficient and Cost Savings:

By containing heat, insulation jackets significantly reduce energy loss. Consequently, this lowers operating costs and improves efficiency.

In many cases, the energy savings alone recover the initial investment within the first year.

For a comprehensive report detailing potential savings, check out our Heat Loss Analyser Tool.

Easy Maintenance:

Our removable jackets install quickly and require no permanent modifications.

Operators can remove and refit them in minutes using secure fastening systems such as Velcro, cord, or turn buttons. As a result, maintenance teams gain fast access without extended downtime.

Worker Safety:

Exposed hot surfaces create serious burn and fire risks. Our insulation jackets act as a protective thermal barrier.

By reducing surface temperatures, they help prevent accidental contact injuries. In addition, they lower ambient heat and reduce condensation risks, creating a safer working environment.

Thermal Performance and Equipment Life:

By maintaining stable temperatures, insulation jackets improve process efficiency and product consistency.

They also prevent cold spots and condensation, which can lead to corrosion. As a result, equipment experiences less thermal stress and lasts longer.

Applications

Our thermal insulation jackets are used across a wide range of industrial systems. Typical applications include valves, flanges, pumps, pipework, ducts, tanks, boilers, heat exchangers, and HVAC systems.

We have supplied solutions for high-temperature exhaust systems, cryogenic pipelines, and complex process equipment.

Proven Results

Our track record reflects consistent, real-world performance. Across multiple industries, our jackets deliver improved efficiency, easier maintenance, and enhanced safety.
